Five Years in the Making: The Jefferson Notary Group Journey

Five years ago today, on September 10, 2021, I received my first notary commission.

At the time, I had no idea how much that one decision would grow, stretch, teach, and change me. I was simply a new notary with a stamp, a commission, and a desire to provide a professional service.

Today, that journey has become Jefferson Notary Group.

It Started With a Stamp

When I first became a notary, I quickly learned that notarization is about much more than putting a stamp on a document.

People often need a notary during important moments in their lives—real estate transactions, financial decisions, family matters, legal documents, healthcare situations, business transactions, and other circumstances where getting the paperwork handled correctly matters.

Many clients are already dealing with deadlines, unfamiliar documents, mobility challenges, busy schedules, or stressful situations by the time they call.

That changed the way I viewed the work.

I began to understand that my responsibility was not simply to complete a transaction. It was to create an experience that was professional, organized, convenient, respectful, and as stress-free as possible.

Growing Beyond General Notary Work

As the years passed, I continued learning and expanding.

What began with general notary appointments grew into mobile notary services, real estate closing work, loan signings, and Remote Online Notarization.

Each new area required additional knowledge, technology, preparation, and professional development.

And with every step, the vision became clearer.

I didn’t simply want to be someone people called when they needed a stamp.

I wanted to build a company people could trust with important moments.

That vision eventually became Jefferson Notary Group.

Those words are more than marketing to me.

Five Years of Learning, Growth and Service

The business I have today did not appear overnight.

It has been built appointment by appointment.

Client by client.

Lesson by lesson.

There have been opportunities, disappointments, new technology, new services, long drives, late appointments, documents that required extra preparation, and countless moments that taught me how to become better at what I do.

And we are still growing.

Today, Jefferson Notary Group provides professional notary and real estate closing services with an emphasis on accessibility, professionalism, convenience, integrity, and excellent client service.

Whether we are meeting a client in person through our mobile service or assisting through available online notarization options, the goal remains the same:

This Is Only the Beginning

Reaching five years gives me an opportunity to appreciate how far this journey has come.

But I am even more excited about what comes next.

It’s a milestone.
